Introducing Juicy Vogue

Hey followers that might be reading!
I have to admit, I haven't been giving this blog alot of thought.........
BUT the reason that is, is because all of the time that I want to spend on blogging per week, has been going to a new blog, Juicy Vogue! My friend and I are sharing a fashion/beauty blog, and it's actually really fascinating to read because we come from two separate states that are no where near each other. The point is, is that you get to read from two different perspectives!
Here is the link:
www.thejuicyvogueblog.blogspot.com

Please check it out! It is a new blog, and needs alotta love!

Update!

So, I have had 2 full weeks of Christmas/winter break and as you can imagine I am NOT ready to go back to school! Today is Sunday, and usually I would go to school tomorrow. But, I got lucky and the teachers have an In-service day tomorrow so all the students go back on Tuesday! Anyway, my point is I have one more day to go to bed late and wake up late before reality slaps me in the face. ;( haha

What I mean by that is waking up at 6 am is going to feel like the middle of the night. And the middle of the night doesn't feel too good because I have to go to school all day long. And ohmygoodness...... WORK! That is somthing I haven't done in quite a while. I mean, I guess I will be good to get back in the routine.

Alright, enough about me!! What about this blog??
I've been thinking, under the title at the top of the page it says makup.fashion.beauty  so somthing like that.
I really want to have a fashion and beauty blog but I don't know where to begin. If anyone has advice to give about that, that would be ah-mazing. So if you do, please leave a comment!! Have a Happy New Year. 2011 is going to be great! I can feel it. :)

Hey everyone-
Its official. I'm going to start blogging again! I know I've taken a 2 month break, but I will be faithful ;-)
Now that we have wireless Internet at my house it will be more convenient to post. Before, I had to sit at the computer screen all by myself. Now I can sit on the couch, or in the kitchen even!

Speak Now

I recently bought Taylor Swift's new album, Speak now. I LOVE it! I got it from Target on sale for $10, and usally you can't get a CD that inexpensive. Anyway, I bought it knowing exactly one song(Mine), and now I'm obsessed over, lets just say a lot of them! lol
Here are the Songs that are on it:
  1. Mine
  2. Sparks Fly
  3. Back to December
  4. Speak Now
  5. Dear John
  6. Mean
  7. The Story of Us
  8. Never grow up
  9. Enchanted
  10. Better than revenge
  11. Innocent
  12. Haunted
  13. Last Kiss
  14. Long Live
I actually have'nt had a chance to listen to The last two songs, but my favorites are Mine, Back to December, Speak Now, Mean, and Never grow up.
What are your thoughts on Speak Now?

Want Wavy Hair?

The Herbal Essences Tousle me softly collection helped me receive it!!(I have very hard to curl/make wavy hair!)(Note: I will only be using the mousse, and hairspray.)

1. Hop in the shower, and wash your hair with any shampoo/ conditioner you normally use. I did purchase the tousle me softly shampoo, but I don't think it did any good. It did smell awesome though, and will match the scent of the mousse, and hairspray!

2. After you get out of the shower, wrap your hair up in a towel. Take it down when you think you hair is not damp, but not dripping wet. DO NOT comb it out! If you have strait hair it will ruin the style!! Next, make a messy part using your fingers.

3. Get your blow dryer out with the diffuser attachment. The diffuser is extremely important because it blows very gentle air, and gives you a 'natural look!'(as my mom told me!)
Squirt a dollop of mousse into your hand, and scrunch!!!! Use the hair dryer with defuser to put under your hair and scrunch at the same time. The most important thing to do is SCRUNCH!!! Scrunch your hair until you feel like your fingers will fall off!(: remember to do it equally in all places; right, left, back, and all layers of hair. Use more mousse if you think you'll need it.

And remember, if this way doesn't work for you, there is literally One million ways to get this style. There is also one million other brands to try too, if this mousse doesn't work for you. Go to You Tube, and search 'get wavy hair' or something like that to see if there is other ways that are better for you!

How to lighten your hair with Lemon Juice

This works the best if you are blonde, and want some natural looking highlights. (the lighter your hair is, the better it works) Even though my hair is light brown, it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Step one: Work the lemon juice into your hair. Make sure to work it into your part area, the top of your head, your actual hair, hair lines, and crown areas.

Step two: Leave the lemon juice in your hair while you are outside for no longer than 1 hour. Rinse the lemon juice out of your hair.

Step three: Repeat the process several times, and being in the sun as much as possible will help you notice a change.

Helpful Hints:

  • Lemon Juice drys out your hair! Remember to condition the night of so your hair stays nice and healthy!
  • Natural juice from the lemon works best.

If you have any more questions on lightening your hair with lemon juice, please leave me a comment. I will be more than happy to answer!
